]]> http://kellynphotography.com/blog/2010/08/08/beginning/feed/ 0 Great Expectations http://kellynphotography.com/blog/2010/03/02/great-expectations/ http://kellynphotography.com/blog/2010/03/02/great-expectations/#comments Tue, 02 Mar 2010 20:30:10 +0000 Kelly http://kellynphotography.com/blog/?p=389 Since I started my journey into photography last year, no one in my circle of friends has been pregnant.   Seems that I just missed the boom-time (at least in my little world).  As a result I haven’t had easy opportunities to take maternity pictures.  I was thrilled when I found out that one of my neighbors was expecting this month, and when she agreed to be a subject this weekend for me to do a practice session.  When I saw her on Saturday she was a bit worried that the full moon on Sunday was going to cause her to go into labor, but last I checked she’s still hanging in there.  Her older two are so excited about the baby’s arrival that they can barely stand it.  Turning the calendar page over to March was certainly a cause for celebration yesterday at their house!

I wanted to focus on taking some timeless photographs for them that captured this moment in their lives.  To make things even more exciting for them all, they are moving out of the area in mid-April, so I know this next month will be a total blur for them.

I hope these pictures froze a few memories for you B family.  I can’t wait to meet your new little one.

This last one isn’t a maternity shot, but I just can’t get over how cute Miss R was being.  She and her big Brother Mr. N were terrific photographer’s assistants.  They sat with me and made Mom and Dad laugh and whispered to make the baby kick.  They are going to be a great Big Sister and Big Brother!
